Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 2/3 cup flour (all-purpose)
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
granulated sugar or powder sugar (to coat the cookies)
Directions
In a small bowl, blend together the butter and sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Then pour in the wet ingredients.
Once all ingredients are combined, roll the dough into balls, about 1½ inch in diameter. Roll each ball in powder sugar (or granulated sugar) to coat the outside. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool for at least 10 minutes.
