Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1 1/4 sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 2/3 cup flour (all-purpose)

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • granulated sugar or powder sugar (to coat the cookies)

Directions

  • In a small bowl, blend together the butter and sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla.

  • In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Then pour in the wet ingredients.

  • Once all ingredients are combined, roll the dough into balls, about 1½ inch in diameter. Roll each ball in powder sugar (or granulated sugar) to coat the outside. Refrigerate for at least one hour.

  • Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool for at least 10 minutes.
