Pie Crust
Recipe from Juli.
Servings:
1 pie crust
Ingredients
1/4 cup Crisco
1/4 cup butter softened slightly
1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
Directions
Blend flour and salt.
Add Crisco and butter, blend with pastry blender until velvety.
Add water all at once and stir quickly with fork until it forms into a ball.
Roll out on pastry cloth, using plenty of flour, into a circle. Roll out only once!
For bottom crust, fold in half and then in half again, lift and place over pie tin, and unfold.
For top crust, make your pie filling, fill the bottom crust, then place top crust on top.
Use leftover crust/pastry for Bumble Bees recipe.
Notes
Pies will need two of these crusts, one for the bottom and one for the top.
