Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 4 tbsp milk

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • Mix together the eggs, vanilla, and milk.

  • set aside 1/2 cup of your flour for later, use the rest in the next step.

  • In a larger separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and butter until it is a lumpy dough.

  • Make a whole in the middle of the mixture. Add the mixture of eggs, vanilla, and milk to the center hole. Mix together.

  • Mix the 1/2 cup of flour (from earlier) into the dough.

  • Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.

  • Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness.

  • Use tree cookie cutters.

  • Bake at 350°F for 8 minutes. Do not let cookies get brown, they taste better when baked less than typical cookies. The cookies should have a firm top when done.
