Algerian Couscous Sauce

8-10 servings
Ingredients
3 tbsp olive oil
2 onions chopped
1 can diced tomatoes
2 carrots (sliced)
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp mixed spices
1/2 tsp cumin
5 cups water
2 potatoes (sliced)
1 can chick peas
2 ladles of sauce from Algerian Chicken
Directions
In a pot, combine the olive oil, onions, tomatoes, carrots, salt, pepper, mixed spice, and cumin. Bring to a boil.
Add potatoes. Cook for 20 minutes.
Add chick peas. Cook 5-10 minutes.
Serve on plain couscous (cooked separately) with Algerian Chicken or lamb.
